Questions
Is Merit Meter an official website?
No. Merit Meter is a free tool by DanixSoft, a software studio in Lahore. It is not affiliated with PMDC, UHS, KMU, IBCC or any university. We copy each formula from the official notice or prospectus, link to it, and show the date we last checked it. The official merit list is always the final word.
How accurate are the calculators?
Each calculator uses the exact weights the institution published for the admission year shown on the page, and every formula has unit tests with worked examples. Rounding can differ in the last decimal from the official list, and some institutions apply rules a calculator can’t know (for example, quota or deductions). Where a rule exists, the page says so.
Can it tell me if I will get admission?
No one can before the merit list is out. We show last year’s officially published closing merits next to your aggregate so you can see where you would have stood. Closing merits go up or down every year with the number of applicants, seats and test difficulty, so this is a comparison, not a prediction.
Do you store my marks?
No. The calculations run in your browser. Your marks are kept only in the page address (so you can bookmark or share a calculation) and are never sent to us.
What if a university has not published its closing merit?
Then we say so and show nothing. We never fill gaps with numbers from social media or guesswork.
I did O-levels and A-levels. Which marks do I enter?
Universities use your IBCC equivalence in place of Matric and Inter marks. Use the IBCC equivalence calculator to estimate it from your grades, then enter those marks in any calculator.
