Eligibility minimums
- FSc / HSSC Part-I: at least 60% (at least 60% unadjusted marks in Intermediate (Pre-Engg/CS/Pre-Medical) or DAE/B-Tech)
Good to know
- Intermediate marks are adjusted: minus 10 marks for each additional attempt to pass or improve Intermediate (Part-I & II), total of this deduction capped at 20; minus 10 marks for taking Mathematics as an additional subject. Pre-Medical with additional Maths: Biology marks replaced by Mathematics. Tie: Intermediate Part-I marks, then older candidate. ETEA result valid for one academic year. Non-ETEA programs (e.g. AI, Cyber Security, IoT, Robotics, Data Science) use other formulas (e.g. SSC 40% + Intermediate Part-I 60%) per the same prospectus.
- Prospectus says Part-I is used for candidates who completed Intermediate 'in 2023 or before' — wording appears carried over from an earlier year; the 40% component is stated as Part-I for everyone.
- Candidates from other provinces compete only for the 5 non-subsidized seats per discipline.
Worked example
Matric / SSC: 1000/1100 = 90.91% × 10% = 9.0909; FSc / HSSC Part-I: 480/550 = 87.27% × 40% = 34.9091; ETEA entrance test: 70/100 = 70% × 50% = 35. Aggregate = 79%.

How is the UET Peshawar aggregate (ETEA) calculated?
For 2026-27 admissions, University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar weights Matric / SSC 10%, FSc / HSSC Part-I 40% and ETEA entrance test 50%. Each part is your marks divided by the total, times its weight, and the parts are added up. Example: Matric / SSC: 1000/1100 = 90.91% × 10% = 9.0909; FSc / HSSC Part-I: 480/550 = 87.27% × 40% = 34.9091; ETEA entrance test: 70/100 = 70% × 50% = 35. Aggregate = 79%. How much does the ETEA engineering entrance test count in the UET Peshawar aggregate (ETEA)?
50% of the aggregate. With full marks in everything else, every 1% you score in the ETEA engineering entrance test adds 0.5 points to your aggregate.
Do Hafiz-e-Quran candidates get extra marks?
Yes, under the 2026-27 rules: 20 marks, additional twenty marks added to Intermediate marks during adjustment (clause 6.3), provided the candidate qualifies UET Peshawar's Hafiz test.
