Good to know

  • Official formula: Merit = PAS*50% + NTS%*50%, PAS = 20% Matric + 80% HSSC (=> 10/40/50). HSSC-awaiting candidates use first-year marks. A-level result-awaiting: O-level equivalent marks considered 50%. Architecture/Art & Design: PAS 15% + test 15% + drawing 25% + write-up 10% + interview 30% + portfolio 5% (not modelled). Without NTS score a separate formula applies.
  • The 'quote' for the calculator is paraphrased from the page JavaScript (not visible text). The notification PDF was read from a copy linked via CUI admissions Downloads/Notifications; exact PDF URL not recorded.
  • Campuses publish their own closing merits; they vary widely by campus.

Worked example

Matric / SSC: 1000/1100 = 90.91% × 10% = 9.0909; FSc / HSSC: 990/1100 = 90% × 40% = 36; NTS NAT score: 70/100 = 70% × 50% = 35. Aggregate = 80.0909%.
