About Merit Meter
Every admission season, lakhs of students in Pakistan try to work out their aggregate from a PDF notice, a screenshot on social media or a calculator that never says where its numbers came from. Many of those calculators use last year’s weights, or the wrong province’s. Merit Meter is a free set of calculators that uses each institution’s own published formula, shows the admission year it applies to, and links to the notice so you can check it yourself.
How we work
- Formulas, closing merits and dates come only from official sources: PMDC, UHS, KMU, IBCC, the university itself or the provincial admissions body.
- Each record carries its source link, a short quote, the admission year and the date we last checked it.
- If something isn’t officially published, we say so and leave it out. We never estimate a closing merit.
- Every formula is unit-tested against worked examples before it ships, and the calculators run entirely in your browser.
- Comparisons with closing merits are always labelled as last year’s figures. They are not predictions.
Who makes it
Merit Meter is made by DanixSoft, a software studio in Lahore founded by Daniyal Alam. It is free, has no ads and needs no sign-up. It is not affiliated with PMDC, UHS, KMU, IBCC, HEC or any university.
Sister sites: Result Ghar for official board result dates, and Parcha for free MDCAT and entry-test practice.
