PIEAS aggregate (written test)
Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), Islamabad · BS Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgy & Materials Engineering, Computer & Information Sciences, Physics · 2026
| Part | Weight | Usual total |
|---|---|---|
| Matric / SSCSSC / Matric | 15% | 1100 |
| FSc / HSSC Part-IPart-I marks only; total depends on board | 25% | 550 |

Eligibility minimums
- Matric / SSC: at least 60%
- FSc / HSSC Part-I: at least 60% (HSSC Part-I; full HSSC >=60% required at joining)
Good to know
- Test score enters as a percentile relative to other candidates (cannot be computed from raw marks). Written test: 100 MCQs, 180 min, no negative marking. O/A-level: academic part (40%) from IBCC O-level equivalence. Separate merit list for SAT-II (>=2000) / ACT (>=25) applicants.
- Leaflet labels the 15% row 'HSC' but the FAQ formula states SSC; SSC interpretation used. Both recorded.
- Students cannot know their percentile until results; the calculator should ask for percentile, not raw marks.
- Admission year: 2026 (BS session 2026-2030).
Worked example
Matric / SSC: 1000/1100 = 90.91% × 15% = 13.6364; FSc / HSSC Part-I: 495/550 = 90% × 25% = 22.5; Written test percentile: 80/100 = 80% × 60% = 48. Aggregate = 84.1364%.
