The official formula
NUST aggregate (NET)
National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad · All UG programmes admitted on NET basis (Engineering, Computing, Robotics & AI, Business/Social Sciences, Applied Sciences, Architecture etc.; BS Human Nutrition & Dietetics same weights with NET/MDCAT/ACT) · 2026
| Part | Weight | Usual total |
|---|---|---|
| Matric / SSCSSC / O level / equivalent | 10% | 1100 |
| FSc / HSSCHSSC (Part-1) / HSSC / A level / DAE | 15% | 1100 |
| NET scoreBest score across NET attempts is used | 75% | 200 |
Eligibility minimums
- Matric / SSC: at least 60% (minimum 60% aggregate marks each in SSC and HSSC or equivalent (IBCC))
- FSc / HSSC: at least 60% (Part-1 marks can be used to apply; complete HSSC must be >=60% on joining)
Good to know
- Best NET score of multiple attempts is used (one attempt per series). ACT/SAT national seats use the same 75/15/10 split with ACT/SAT in place of NET; international seats are 100% ACT/SAT. Final-year A-level candidates: O-level equivalence used for the HSSC component per IBCC. NUST publishes closing merit as merit POSITIONS (ranks), not aggregate percentages.
- nust.edu.pk and ugadmissions.nust.edu.pk are behind a Cloudflare JS challenge (HTTP 403 to our fetchers on 2026-11-04); the weights were read from the search-engine index of the official NUST page, not a direct fetch. Re-verify in a browser before publishing.
- NUST states its admission policy is subject to change.
- Admission year: 2026 (current official page; applies to NET-2027 series unless changed).
Worked example
Matric / SSC: 1000/1100 = 90.91% × 10% = 9.0909; FSc / HSSC: 990/1100 = 90% × 15% = 13.5; NET score: 150/200 = 75% × 75% = 56.25. Aggregate = 78.8409%.
