- Other streams (Fall 2026 prospectus): O/A-Level: ECAT 33% + 11th class (O-level or equivalent, IBCC) 67%. DAE: ECAT 33% + sum of 1st and 2nd year 67%. B.Sc. Engg Technology: ECAT 33% + CGPA 67% (CGPA 2.5/4 = 60%, 4.0/4 = 90%, interpolated). Non-ECAT programs: Matric 25% + Intermediate Part-I 75% (100% Intermediate if no matric). ECAT has no passing threshold and no negative marking. Ties: equal up to four decimals after truncation are treated at par. Pre-Medical with Maths: first-year biology marks are used. No year-gap deduction is stated in the prospectus.
- ECAT total of 400 is derived from the official text (100 questions x 4 points); the page does not print '400' explicitly.
- Part-I (first-year) marks are used for the 50% Intermediate component even for candidates who have already completed Part-II.
- UET Lahore publishes many merit lists (Merit List 1 to 12 plus leftover-seat lists) and the minimum aggregate of each list is not monotonic, so no single 'final closing merit' document exists.
- ECAT is the common test for Punjab public engineering institutions, but this formula is UET Lahore's own; other Punjab UETs (e.g. UET Taxila) set their own merit rules in their own prospectus.
- Hafiz-e-Quran: up to 20 extra marks (0 to 20 marks awarded by a verification committee oral test (max 20); prospectus says 'additional marks in determination of merit' but does not state which component they are added to). Not included in the calculator because the amount is decided case by case.
- Sports: up to 10 extra marks (maximum ten marks added to the academic marks in Intermediate or equivalent, after a sports verification test). Not included in the calculator because the amount is decided case by case.
